Independent comedy commercial production company Good Behavior, established by director Pete Marquis, has announced the expansion of its operations to include full post-production services with the appointment of comedy editor Dick Gordon

With a career spanning over 25 years, Gordon brings a wealth of experience editing for leading agencies, directors, and brands. At Good Behavior, he will collaborate with the company’s directors, supervise post-production services for all projects, and continue working with other directors and production companies.

With Gordon’s addition, Good Behavior now offers a complete post-production service, including sound, colour, VFX, and finishing. This development positions the company to provide a seamless end-to-end production service, combining creative vision with cost efficiency.

Gordon stated: “I’m fortunate to be joining such a good group of folks doing amazing work and keeping things simple and funny. Working with Good Behavior, I’m having more fun than I’ve had in years. The clients they work with are great and very collaborative. Pete is the kind of director who really listens to what the clients are asking for and what they need, delivering in a way that’s always refreshing. Our ultimate goal is to open new doors for Good Behavior and its clients by offering comprehensive production and post services, soup to nuts.”

Since its launch in June, Good Behavior has collaborated with Gordon on several campaigns, including the Pepsi Chase Cars campaign, which amassed 5 million views in a week, and the viral La-Z-Boy campaign encouraging people to #BanReclining on aeroplanes. Gordon also worked on their Fruit by the Foot campaign, capturing both teenage awkwardness and the fragility of old age.

Director Pete Marquis commented: “Dick has been my secret weapon for years, and now we’re blowing the secret. He is a rare talent. He works fast, but more importantly, he gets there fast. He has a knack for locking in on the best performances, delivering tightly structured, funny spots on the first cut. He’s cut some of the funniest commercials I know, particularly his VW Toss ad – a perfect edit. And like everyone at Good Behavior, he’s a pleasure to be around.”

Gordon’s career began as the first in-house editor at @radical.media. He later worked at Mad River Post, Spot Welders, and served as Director of Editorial at The Martin Agency’s SuperJoy. Before joining Good Behavior, Gordon spent three years freelancing. His portfolio includes collaborations with renowned comedy creators such as Cliff Freeman, Buckley/Todaro, Hungry Man, and Traktor, and campaigns including ESPN’s SportsCenter, Fallon’s Miller Lite “Dick” campaign, and MTV’s Jukka Brothers saga. His work has earned Gold Lions at Cannes, Clios, Pencils, D&AD awards, and more, including an Academy Award nomination.

Reflecting on his career, Gordon remarked: “As all editors say, we can edit anything, but I stumbled into comedy after starting out with serious documentaries. The best comedy has to have authenticity—it must feel grounded in reality even when it’s totally fantastic. What I enjoy most about editing comedy is distilling ideas down to their core, allowing them to resonate and breathe. Especially in today’s serious world, humour is vital. Comedy helps us see the humanity in things—it’s universal. Everyone loves to laugh.”
