Harbor Picture Company opened its new flagship entertainment and advertising studios in New York’s Hudson Square, marking a major expansion of the award-winning post-production company's New York presence.

With a portfolio spanning Emmy-winning television, acclaimed feature films, and global advertising campaigns, Harbor has built a reputation for bringing world-class creative talent together across disciplines. The new flagship studios continues that legacy, uniting artists across colour, sound, VFX, editorial, and finishing in one connected creative environment.

Already supporting some of the most anticipated projects across film, television, and advertising, the new studios have welcomed work on Apple TV’s Widow’s Bay, A24’s Primetime and The Invite, Netflix’s East of Eden, and NEON’s Paper Tiger, in addition to campaigns for Balenciaga, OpenAI, Patrón, Nintendo, Reese’s, and Toyota. Their artists’ work spans collaborations with acclaimed filmmakers including Martin Scorsese, Lance Oppenheim, Rob Marshall, Ron Howard, Olivia Wilde, Alex Gibney, and James Gray. These projects reflect both the breadth of Harbor's creative expertise and the caliber of work already taking shape within the new facility.

The flagship space represents the next chapter in Harbor's founding vision. Since 2012, the company has championed a collaborative approach to post-production, bringing artists across disciplines and geographies together to shape exceptional creative work. With a global network spanning New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Toronto, and London, Harbor continues to connect talent across film, television, advertising, and emerging forms of storytelling. The new Hudson Square studios strengthen that connection, giving filmmakers, creatives, and craft artists a shared space to collaborate from concept through final delivery.

Designed by BR Design Associates, the new facility includes three Dolby Atmos mix stages, two theatrical color grading rooms, six color suites, seven sound editorial rooms, two 7.1 surround mixing stages, five VFX flame rooms, two animation & design suites, and three ADR/voice-over booths. The new studios were designed around Harbor’s multidisciplinary approach to post-production, understanding and creating an environment where artists and filmmakers can move seamlessly between disciplines.

“This expansion is ultimately an investment in craft,” said Laura Davis, President, US. “Our clients come to Harbor for exceptional artists and exceptional creative outcomes. The new studios build on a model that has defined Harbor since 2012, creating even more opportunities for collaboration across our global creative community while continuing to invest in the talent and technology in service of the work, creating an environment where great ideas can be developed, refined and elevated at every stage of the process.”

“Harbor has always been artist-first,” said Massimo D’Avolio, EVP, Head of Post Production. “We invest deeply in technology in service of the creative process, the best technology becomes invisible to the filmmaker and essential to the artist. These expand on that vision; bringing our artists, tools and disciplines closer together, creating an environment where ideas can move freely and the work can keep evolving.”

With New York’s Film Tax Credit extended through 2037, the state has signalled a long-term commitment to production, and Harbor’s New York expansion gives studios, streamers and filmmakers a state-of-the-art creative home in the city where the company began.
