Acclaimed music production and supervision company Human has promoted Kamela Anderson to West Coast Executive Producer and Head of Sync.

In this new role, Anderson will oversee all West Coast operations for Human, including PostHuman, an independent post-production entity, which is rapidly growing as a West Coast presence.

As Human’s former Head of Sync and A&R, Anderson helped build the music supervision department into the industry-renowned entity it is today. Anderson has spent the past eight years in various roles within Human. She has grown with the company as a rising voice in commercial music and an extraordinary producer, with this promotion as the latest iteration of her exceptional work as a creative executive.

Kamela Anderson’s career in advertising began in sales at HSI Productions before joining Anonymous Content to work in their in-house sales department. After that, her journey at Human began, where Anderson worked on several notable brand films that went on to win many industry awards, including four Clio Awards, a Bronze Pencil, a Gold Andy Award, and a Silver Lion. With collaboration and trust at the forefront, Anderson is a visionary leader who believes that the best work happens when artists are empowered to discover their unique style, guided by the wisdom and support of experienced producers.

Her work at Human can be seen in many commercials for top brands like Apple, Xbox, Adidas, Samsung, Amazon, BMW, Netflix, NFL, Meta, Gatorade, Google, Doritos, Mountain Dew, and a Nike spot which garnered recognition from the soundtrack’s artist. For Dream Further, Nike’s gloriously girl-powered ad promoting the Women’s World Cup, Joan Jett’s Bad Reputation, was synced, delivering optimal emotional impact. Jett later lauded this needle drop as “stunning” and "carrying a strong message beyond the brand” while being honoured at the Clio Awards that year, with the spot taking home a Bronze.

“I built HumanSupervision as a new offering in 2020, and we’re continuing to expand our reach, both on the West Coast and internationally,” remarks Anderson. “My creative partner Mike Jurasits and I are very hands-on collaborators and continue to push the envelope with our artist partnerships. Recently, we took a simple music supervision brief from Sonic and turned it into an opportunity to create a unique and ownable brand anthem with an artist who brought a rich level of cultural engagement to their rebranding efforts. Our innovative sync team made this all possible. I feel honored to step into this new role at Human and lead this company into an expansive, bright future.”

Human’s Managing Partner, Gareth Williams, adds, “Kamela started at Human when it was a very different shop. We offered original music and sound design, and that was it. With Kam's guidance, we have grown into providing music supervision and licensing to many award-winning films and commercials. This well-deserved promotion is the start of a new chapter for Human in our complete approach to any music requirement. Kamela’s energy and unparalleled love of music is a gift, and we are so proud to have her helm our West Coast adventures.”

In addition to Anderson’s promotion, this year Human also promoted Audrey Caliguri to Vice President of Business Affairs. With over a decade of experience in back-office process development and as a key driver of their royalty administration efforts, Caliguri’s expertise and leadership will be invaluable in her new role. They also welcomed Nicole Riolo as Producer for the East Coast market. Riolo brings a wealth of experience, ranging from artist management to publishing admin and music production. Her diverse background and proven track record make her a valuable addition to their team.
