His latest feature, The Brutalist, released theatrically in last month, has solidified his place as a visionary filmmaker, receiving a total of 10 nominations for the upcoming Academy Awards. The period drama, which explores the journey of a Hungarian Jewish architect in post-WWII America, has earned widespread acclaim, already winning three Golden Globe Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. The film features Adrien Brody, who also received the Golden Globe for Best Actor, in a career-defining performance.
