The emotive and observational storytelling director Michelle Cassis has joined Outsider for UK representation.

Starting life in Chile and growing as a director in Madrid, Cassis' work is defined by its evocative and warm nature, crafting narratives with subtle and powerful performances.

She has directed for global brands like Disney, Mondelēz, AB-InBev, Danone, and Cornetto but it is her work for Ikea that really caught the eye and took her to the next level. The Proudly Second Best campaign, won a Gold Lion in Film at Cannes, Gold at One Show and Clios, also in the film category, and was named Campaign of the Year at Ad Age’s A-List Awards.

More recently, her short film The Walk, made shockwaves. Released on International Women’s Day, it has resonated globally, garnering over 450,000 views and 28,000 likes in its first week alone. What began as a passion project evolved into a powerful collaboration with Strut Safe, a UK support line for those traveling alone. The film gives voice to the silent fears women and marginalised communities face while walking alone. With a fearless creative vision, she is redefining the future of advertising, one groundbreaking campaign at a time placing special emphasis on work with a profound and emphatic cultural impact.

Otis Denison, Executive Producer at Outsider said: “As soon as I met Michelle I knew she had something special about her. Charisma, confidence and so much drive to make great work that puts performance and storytelling first. She told me she was in London briefly for a concert and to direct her short film, The Walk, in Hackney with a lot of love from some dedicated friends and crew… and a very tight turnaround. When I first saw The Walk it blew me away and we are so excited to get the word out about Michelle in the UK. So much talent and such a great person to top it all off."
