Park Village signs Philip HJ Gay
Based between London and Paris, the photographer and director will now be represented by Park Village in the UK.
Park Village announce the signing of photographer and director Philip HJ Gay, who joins the company as a director and photographer in the UK.
Born in England and raised between London and Paris, Gay developed his interest in photography while studying Film and Literature at university in London. Since then, his distinctive approach to fashion, portraiture and image-making has seen him work with some of the world’s most respected titles, including i-D, Vogue, Purple, Elle, GQ, Muse, Numéro Berlin, Zoo, Arena Homme +, Vogue Hommes, Interview, Harper’s Bazaar and The New York Times Magazine.
His portfolio spans an exceptional roster of talent, having photographed the likes of Kristen Stewart, Dua Lipa, Lily-Rose Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Isabelle Huppert, Golshifteh Farahani, Richard Gadd, Vanessa Paradis, James McAvoy, Sadie Sink, Joan Collins, Kristin Scott Thomas, Hugh Grant, Mark Ruffalo, Lou Doillon, MGMT, New Order and Jane Birkin. His commercial work includes campaigns for Giorgio Armani, Levi’s, Elizabeth Arden, Sephora, Dolce & Gabbana and Cartier, among others.
In recent years, Gay has expanded his practice into moving image. He began directing music videos in 2021, bringing the same refined, understated sensibility of his photography to film. His first short film, Heaven To Know You, was awarded the Cinematic Achievement Award at the Thessaloniki International Short Film Festival in 2025.
Gay’s move into directing marks an exciting new chapter, and Park Village provides a natural home for this next phase of his career. With an exceptional studio space designed to accommodate ambitious productions and creative experimentation, the company offers Gay the environment and resources to develop his work across stills and moving image.
“I’m so thrilled to welcome Phil to Park Village. I’ve enjoyed getting to know his work and good nature, I can’t wait to see what the future holds.” said Tom Webb, Park Village MD
