Pavel Brenner joins Park Village
Brenner joins Park Village with an ambition to create films that build worlds and leave a lasting impression beyond the frame.
Park Village has signed Russian-born, Los Angeles-based director and cinematographer Pavel Brenner for representation, with the company looking to build on his distinctive approach to visual storytelling across commercials, fashion and film.
Brenner brings a multidisciplinary background spanning graphic design, advertising, cinematography and directing. His work is characterised by precise composition, cinematic atmosphere and meticulously constructed worlds, often bringing together choreography, movement and narrative.
His directing career began with Lorn’s Acid Rain, created while studying at ArtCenter College of Design as part of directing collective R113. The single-take film became an international viral success, winning a UK Music Video Award and screening at SXSW and Milano Film Festival.
Since then, Brenner has developed a body of work spanning music videos, fashion and commercial filmmaking, including projects for Alexander Wang, Bixel Boys & Poupon, Brodinski, Yumi Zouma and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. His work has been featured by the likes of NOWNESS, The Fader, Billboard, Rolling Stone and Stereogum, with recognition from the UK Music Video Awards, Berlin Commercial and international fashion film festivals.
“I’ve been a fan of Pavel for many years and I’m more than a little excited to have the chance to work closely with him,” says Chris Baker, Executive Producer at Park Village.
Park Village sees the partnership as an opportunity to further develop Brenner’s authored visual language, while connecting his cinematic sensibility with the company’s creative and production expertise.
With a practice rooted in the space between image, movement and narrative, Brenner joins Park Village with a continued ambition to create films that build worlds and leave a lasting impression beyond the frame.
