Canadian production company Spy Films announces the expansion of its operations to Montreal with the appointment of Sonia Marques as Executive Producer, and the signing of Montreal-based directors Les Garçons and Julien Vallée (Vallée Duhamel) for exclusive Canadian representation, further strengthening its commitment to the Quebec market and its creative presence nationwide.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Sonia to the SPY team,” says Marcus Trulli, Executive Producer and MD of Spy Films. “She brings an exceptional balance of creative intuition and business leadership, along with deep knowledge of the Montreal market. Her perspective and relationships will be invaluable as we continue to grow in Quebec.”

As part of the expansion, the addition of Les Garçons and Vallée strengthens Spy Films’ coast-to-coast director roster, enhancing its ability to support local and international productions from Montreal. With extensive experience in production and post-production, agency collaboration, and creative development, Marques based in Montreal, will focus on building long-term relationships with agencies and brands, while strategically supporting SPY's directors as their work continues to shine on the international stage.

“SPY has built a reputation for consistently delivering the strongest creative work in the country,” says Marques. “For me, it is without a doubt the most exciting and creatively ambitious production company in Canada. The level of craftsmanship, boldness, and trust that SPY has earned from agencies and major brands is exceptional, and I’m thrilled to help grow this presence in Montreal alongside such distinctive directors as Les Garçons and Julien Vallée.”
