Standard Chartered move ahead with AI-generated F1 film
The London AI film studio led the AI production with Stink Shanghai for Leo Singapore, building an F1 world, and a 2026-spec racing car, without a single day on track.
As the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix gets underway, Standard Chartered’s global brand campaign Move Ahead is rolling out across Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE.
Building on the bank’s brand platform Now is your time, the campaign combines photography, design and AI. Its hero film is fully AI-generated.
Created by Leo Singapore, the film was co-directed by Tino of Stink and Marcello Costa, Partner and Creative Lead at Misideal. Misideal led the AI production in partnership with Stink Shanghai.
Getting access to F1 cars, drivers, teams and circuits in the middle of a racing season is close to impossible. So the team built the campaign’s F1 world from the ground up. Misideal designed a 2026-spec racing car developed from Standard Chartered’s existing Formula 4 car and kept it consistent across every shot. Every asset was created specifically for the campaign, with no third-party imagery.

The process followed the structure of a traditional production. Directors set the look, camera language and pacing. AI artists generated key frames and animated scenes to direction in daily review rounds. Editors, colourists and sound designers then finished the film.
“People imagine AI films are made by one person and a prompt. Some are. But this one went through agency, client, production and post, with feedback at every stage, across teams in London, Shanghai, Singapore and Brazil. Building this film took the same things a traditional shoot takes: directors who know what they want, artists who can deliver it, producers who keep it on schedule, and an edit, grade and sound mix that bring it together. AI gave us a world we couldn’t film. Years of production experience and an aligned team working as one crew are what got it through every approval and onto screen.” said Costa.
