Station Film has signed director duo The Dynamic Jewo (AKA Carlos Wigle and Aron Fried) for commercial representation in the US.

The Jewo are renowned for their ongoing comedy campaigns for Morgan & Morgan, the largest injury law firm in the country, which hilariously communicates the firm’s expansive capabilities and resources. That work, which the two also write, perfectly reflects their strength for classic sit-com style storytelling.

“The Dynamic Jewo are a natural fit for Station,” said Stephen Orent, Founding Partner, Station Film. “They are talented comedy directors and we know, appreciate and have a strong track record collaborating with some of the best. Their work leans into the conventions of classic comedy directing, strong writing, casting and performance, elevated by filmmaking craft. They have a great sense of humour, too, and a thorough understanding of what it takes to get great work made from their background as creatives. They are a real find, and we are happy to have them on board.”

The Dynamic Jewo moniker is as unique as the relationship of the duo behind it, and a conscious decision to lean into their roots. Wigle and Fried first met when they were kids at Jewish summer camp where they struck up a life-long friendship. They attended ad school together at Art Institute of California, San Diego, and went on to become an award-winning creative team at DDB; Fried later worked at 72andSunny and at startups such as TOMS and Dollar Shave Club, while Wigle held roles at Anomaly and McCann. They soaked up the craft of directing, working with many of the industry’s top comedy helmers before pitching themselves to Morgan & Morgan three years ago, “Why work with your heroes when you can be your heroes?” they quipped.

Taking a chance paid off. Their standout spots include Army, featuring a wounded plaintiff joined by a literal army from Morgan & Morgan as he walks to the courthouse accompanied by an amusing VO cleverly integrating the firm’s services into the action, and Yum, starring WWE superstar Liv Morgan hosting a dinner party where her guests wouldn’t dare criticise her ghastly cooking just as you wouldn’t choose any other injury law firm than Morgan & Morgan.

The Jewo found their way to Station via mutual friend, director Harold Einstein. "Speaking with Harold, we learned about his start working with Steve Orent and Caroline Gibney [Station’s Founding Partners], it’s pretty special to be sharing a similar start,” the Jewo said. “Additionally, we had some conversations with Station and some other production companies and Station just felt like home.”

Iconic inspirational comedy campaigns - the likes of ESPN’s ThisIsSportsCenter, FedEx’s Relax, It’s FedEx, Geico’s So Easy a Caveman Can Do It, Little Caesars, Skittles and more, lit the fire for Wigle and Fried and success with their own work for Morgan & Morgan, which may well join those storied ranks. The advertising veterans know what it takes to make something special and they want agencies and brands to know that, too.

“We have over 30 years of inside jokes, cackling laughter and experiences to draw from,” The Jewo said. “There’s almost a telepathic shorthand we share. We’re intimately familiar with the gauntlet creatives go through to get something approved and we honor and protect that and do everything in our power to supercharge those ideas.”
