Victoria Warmerdam joins MindsEye

MindsEye welcome Oscar-winning writer/director Victoria Warmerdam to its directing roster for UK representation.

Based in Amsterdam, Warmerdam is known for blending dark humour with sharp social commentary. Her latest short film, I’m Not A Robot, went on a remarkable festival run winning over 70 awards, culminating in the 2025 Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film. 

Her earlier shorts, Mustachio and Short Calf Muscle, have together collected over 100 awards worldwide. 

With a fascination for the fine line between drama and comedy, Warmerdam has quickly established herself on the international film scene. She has a rare ability to take complex, contemporary themes and make them feel entertaining, accessible and emotionally resonant.
