Whizz Kidz gives us Ibrahim’s Story
Gusto Film share Ibrahim’s Story, the first in a series of three films for Whizz Kidz.
Gusto Film share Ibrahim’s Story, the first in a series of three films produced for Whizz Kidz.
This heartwarming film highlights the transformative difference the right wheelchair can make, not just for children under five but for their entire families.
At almost two years old, Ibrahim now has the freedom to play, explore, and embrace childhood adventures alongside his peers. Thanks to Whizz Kidz, he was provided with a suitable wheelchair at an early age, something that without their support, might not have happened until he was three or even five years old. Ibrahim’s journey is a testament to the life-changing work Whizz Kidz does every day, helping young children gain mobility, independence, and the chance to simply be kids.
This series builds on the success of the brand campaign Gusto Film created with Whizz Kidz earlier this year, which celebrated their mission of empowering young wheelchair users across the UK. Through Ibrahim’s Story and the films to come, Gusto Film is shining a spotlight on the essential services, celebrating mobility, independence, and childhood joy.

"We are proud to be working with Gusto Film who are expertly bringing our Whizz Kidz stories to life. We want the world to discover that disability isn’t the difference we should care about. It’s the right wheelchair, at the right time, that’s the real difference. Through the videos we’re creating with Gusto Film we can communicate the impact of the charity’s work in an authentic way, inspiring action and building trust among supporters,” says Tamsin Haines, Senior Brand Marketing Manager at Whizz Kidz.
"When Tamsin told us about Ibrahim’s story and shared the home videos of him in his wheelchair for the first time, we instantly knew we had found a really special boy. We were mesmerised by him, watching him zoom around the park full of energy and excitement with a huge smile on his face really melted our hearts.
For this production it was key to be authentic and show him in his own environments, we worked very closely with his mum identifying various locations that he would be comfortable in, which included his home, nursery and the park. Normally shooting in a nursery would be challenging, but luckily for us his nursery was more than happy to accommodate us and really understood the importance of showing him playing and interacting with his friends, like any other boy his age.
Having produced the brand film for Whizz Kidz, we’re proud to continue collaborating with them to tell these beautiful stories." says Jasmine Shalkoie - Senior Producer at Gusto Film.
