The AMP Awards features 15 categories across both creative and craft, covering everything from original music and sound design to best use of licensed, pre-existing recordings, outstanding adaptations/arrangements, outstanding mix, and best artist and brand collaborations.

The competition is open to work commissioned by a client for release via streaming or linear TV, digital, mobile, experiential, or other media able to deliver powerful visuals. Winners will be presented at a gala awards ceremony, including live performances from top artists.

Entries may be submitted by any individual or company that is creating or providing music and/or sound for commercials, branded content, promos, trailers, experiential/live events or digital experiences such as VR, AR, and gaming.

“Each year, the AMP Awards spotlight the powerful way music and sound shape how consumers feel and connect with brands,” says Matt Nelson, Managing Director of Storefront Music in New York and President of AMP. “As our flagship event, the AMP Awards not only present the industry’s standout work, they celebrate the talent, dedication, and passion behind it. It’s also an essential gathering point, bringing the wider creative community together.”

Al Risi, Founder and Music Supervisor at Groove Guild and AMP Awards Committee member adds, “With these new categories we are reflecting the way music and sound for brands come to life. Every year the work gets more inventive, so we decided it was time to shine a light on the craft of music supervision, the smart use of library music, and the production ideas that push the work forward. Separating the awards into Creative and Craft lets us recognize both the work and the people behind it.”

This year marks the 13th anniversary of the AMP Awards, sponsored annually by the Association of Music Producers. AMP was established to give voice to the companies that provide brands with the power of music and sound to engage audiences and drive home the effectiveness of their messaging.
