Motherhood isn’t something to “come back” from - it's simply the start of another chapter, is the message in this powerful spot for Chase out of Droga5 NY.
The film, directed by Epoch Films' Martin De Thurah (who memorably captured another sporting legend, Michael Phelps, for Under Armour's Grand Prix-winning Rule Yourself) explores the duality of Serena Williams, a woman who is simultaneously a nurturing mother and a ferocious athletic opponent.
As Williams goes from the nursery to the practice court, reciting the lyrics of LL Cool J's classic track Mama Said Knock You Out, we see the vulnerability that comes with being a new parent - but also the strength she draws from it.
