Aline Lata​​​ directs Until Another Day​

The music video Until Another Day is a love story set against the striking landscapes of Lençóis Maranhenses in northeastern Brazil, starring Brazilian singer and Latin Grammy winner Jota.Pê alongside actress Thainá Duarte, known for her role in the acclaimed Brazilian series Cangaço Novo.

The film follows a fleeting encounter lived without concern for what comes next, where desire, imagination and intimacy transform a single day into something that feels much larger than time itself.

Rooted in Maranhão’s strong reggae culture, the story begins in a reggae bar, where the couple meets through agarradinho — an intimate local style of dancing reggae closely together. From there, the dance becomes a passage into an imagined life shared by the two.

Their relationship unfolds inside a house that gradually reveals itself as a space somewhere between reality, memory and fantasy. Objects feel displaced, familiar spaces become strange, and sand slowly invades the interiors, transforming the house into an hourglass marking the passage of time.

As the boundaries between what was lived and what was imagined begin to dissolve, the film explores the feeling of experiencing an entire love story within a single day.
