Andre 3000 has released the official music short film 7 Piano Sketches, a 12-minute music short film directed by Graham Mason and produced by Object & Animal.

The film follows André 3000 as he walks through New York City with a piano strapped to his back and a notebook of sketches in hand, drifting through streets, parks and chance encounters with a cast of eccentric characters. With almost no dialogue, each moment unfolds like a quiet visual gag or passing thought rather than a traditional narrative. Inspired by ants carrying many times their own weight, the piano becomes both a physical object and a companion on the journey.

"The strength of an ant is the inspiration. They can carry things many times their own weight, and that's what I wanted the piano to feel like." said Andre 3000.

Written by André 3000 and Mason, 7 Piano Sketches embraces unfinished ideas and everyday observations, treating wandering, play and curiosity as part of the creative process. The result is a film that invites viewers to spend time with the music as it takes shape, one sketch at a time.

Produced by Object & Animal, 7 Piano Sketches is now streaming on Mubi and adds to the companies growing roster of musician based videos. The film accompanies André 3000's latest collection of intimate piano compositions for his new album.
