Blinkink signs director Daniel Quirke for worldwide representation
Daniel Quirke joins Blinkink’s roster, bringing his innovative mixed-media storytelling to the studio’s global lineup.
Blinkink has signed BAFTA-nominated director Daniel Quirke for worldwide representation.
A graduate of the National Film and Television School (NFTS), Quirke is known for his inventive approach to mixed-media storytelling, seamlessly blending stop motion, 3D animation, and experimental techniques.
Blinkink has collaborated with Quirke over the past year on projects for Burberry, Co-op, Coldplay, and DFS, each showcasing his meticulous craft and technical innovation.
"Daniel is a mixed-media machine, constantly pushing the boundaries of animation in ways that excite us,” says Blinkink. “His ability to blend artistic precision with compelling narratives makes him a perfect addition to our roster.”
Quirke’s work includes a fully embroidered film for Burberry’s Winter Collection, launched at London Fashion Week. All 120 frames of animation were stitched in Burberry’s signature blue, guiding the logo through a journey across London.
For a recent short film, he developed a new animation technique, combining 3D animation with an oil-painted render style to create a visually striking and emotionally resonant two-minute piece.
His expertise in stop motion also contributed to Isabel Garrett’s music video for Coldplay’s ALiEN HiTS / ALiEN RADiO, incorporating wax, clay, and ice to achieve an organic and tactile aesthetic.
Quirke’s BAFTA-nominated short film, The Song of a Lost Boy, tells the story of a choir boy facing a crisis of faith. Demonstrating his meticulous command of stop motion and distinctive tone of voice, the film received critical acclaim for its craftsmanship and storytelling.
With Quirke’s signing, Blinkink continues to expand its roster of pioneering animation talent, pushing the boundaries of filmmaking across commercial and narrative projects.
