British football club Arsenal has recruited award-winning actor and lifelong supporter, Colin Firth, to narrate its vibrant Christmas campaign, ’Twas the Season, created by Arsenal’s in-house Creative Studio and directed by Si&Ad through Academy.
Set in the streets of north London around Emirates Stadium, the film draws on the elation of May 2026, when supporters around the world came together to celebrate Arsenal winning the Premier League title after 22 years, as well as the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
It begins like a familiar Christmas story, with Firth describing a journey shaped by anticipation, excitement and togetherness - sentiments that viewers might initially associate with the festive season.
But as he leads viewers through Islington, with plenty of playful references to his festive rom-com appearances, the streets gradually fill with people from across the Arsenal community, revealing that he is in fact recounting the story of the club’s historic 2025/26 season.
The film culminates outside the club store, The Armoury, where Firth joins a crowd of supporters spanning generations, alongside Arsenal staff and community figures connected to the club.
