For the global launch of the new Mercedes-Benz Van VLE, Soup Film teamed up once again with the German creative agency Preuss und Preuss, alongside director the talented James F. Coton and cinematographer Ottar Guðnason.

Soup were thrilled to be working again with the same team, from the agency to the director and DOP. Having previously collaborated for the same client, the team shared a natural commonality, which allowed ideas to flow seamlessly and set the stage for a truly creative collaboration at every stage of production.

The campaign follows Roger Federer through mundane moments, driving, enjoying scenic views, and of course humming along to classical music. The twist: people notice the car more than the tennis legend himself. Curious looks follow from the next lane along with second glances at the restaurant, making it clear that the real star of the moment is the VLE.

The plot ends with a charming scene of Federer and a dog exchanging thoughts on their next move for their adventure in the sleek VLE .

“Bringing the same creative team together again made the whole process incredibly enjoyable,” says Jana Melzer, Executive Producer at Soup Film. “When everyone trusts each other and shares the same vision, it creates the space for ideas to grow and for great work to happen.”
