Gigi's fatal second chance
Globally, an estimated 736 million women – almost one in three – have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence at least once in their life. This sobering film for the Women and Men Progressive Foundation and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation aims to highlight this worldwide epidemic.

To mark yesterday's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Second Chance campaign created by BBDO Bangkok for two Foundations – Women and Men Progressive and the Thai Health Promotion – follows the story of Gigi Supitcha, who lost her life to domestic violence.
In a moving film with a twist, directed by Patikhom Laphaphan, through Bob Eye View, we learn how the beloved Thai influencer, singer and actress was killed by her boyfriend. Despite having survived a near fatal confrontation with him in the past, her forgiveness ultimately led to her untimely death.
Her fate is a chilling reminder of the dangers of giving abusers a second chance.
The clever campaign began with a post on Supitcha's Instagram account (which had been inactive for a year) publicising her new movie titled Second Chance. The unexpected post gathered more than 20,000 engagements in one day – with some questioning the ethics of posting on a dead woman's account.
Four days later the campaign posted a teaser for the her new 'movie', along with a heart-wrenching message that went viral – Supitcha will never be in another film because she gave a second chance to her killer.
