Director Ricky Dick blends humour and emotional honesty in this compelling promo for DJ Gilm0re’s track, Another Breathtaking Melody, created in collaboration with The Sweetspot, producer Yannic Kress and Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
The narrative-led film immerses us in the strangely intense, yet subtly ridiculous world of a DJ training camp, where a young recruit is put through a gruelling training programme, including a diet of energy drinks, cereal and pickles.
Created by a team of over 150 people, the film is realised through cinematic storytelling, deadpan performances and playful styling, and is peppered with playful references and that lightly mock the seriousness of DJ culture.
