Created by Ogilvy and directed by Darling Films’ Slim, this heartfelt new spot from fast food chain KFC tells a tender story of a young man who struggles to accept his mum's new partner.
Brought to life by subtle, slice-of-life cinematography and authentic performances, the campaign, titled Family, follows a single mother who introduces her new boyfriend to her kids.
Her daughter immediately accepts him, but the son repeatedly makes it clear he is not wanted - until he brings his own girlfriend home for a KFC meal. Knowing how awkward joining a new family can feel, the stepfather makes a special effort to welcome the girlfriend, which finally helps the son warm to him.
