Teaming up with Armoury director Mr Yankey, KiLLOWEN appears in this hilarious short film following the rapper’s involuntary shift at a phone kiosk.
Written and directed by Mr Yankey and shot over one night, No Service features cameos from Hugo Chegwin, of the UK TV series People Just Do Nothing, and musician Window Kid. It’s so far garnered more than £62k+ views, and, remarkably, was made on a budget of £500.
Mr Yankey commented: “KiLLOWEN is an artist I’ve been making music videos with for a couple of years now, and it’s one of the truest creative partnerships I’ve had with a musician. He had a tour coming up and wanted something to put out there – something simple in structure, funny, punchy. We cooked up this idea, which became a proper community effort. The kids from my block played the 'Lil Sh**s', one of the mums did the catering and Muhammad from the end of my road let us take over his phone kiosk.
“Hugo Chegwin, as expected, was effortlessly hilarious. We jumped on a call the night before, hashed out some gags, and he had me in stitches from that moment through to the final edit. KiLLOWEN always brings such a natural presence to our videos, but I wasn’t expecting his chemistry with Hugo to be this good. Safe to say, I think we’re only just scratching the surface of KiLLO’s acting chops.”
