This cleverly crafted campaign, developed by Rethink Communications, launches as anticipation builds for the 20th anniversary of Kraft Hockeyville, a yearly tournament sponsored by Kraft Heinz and supporting local hockey arenas and communities across Canada.
Directed by Luis Gerard and produced by Holiday Films under Holiday United Group, the punchy spot, titled It Starts at the Rink, opens at a local rink where a deflected shot sends a puck flying out into the town.
As the punchy instrumental track kicks in, the film follows players and a growing crowd of skating townsfolk as ice spreads through the streets – a playful visual metaphor realised through a seamless blend of practical filmmaking and VFX.
