Whilst many Super Bowl ad breaks leaned on famous faces, one label had something else in mind.
Focusing on the signature style of its seat, Levi’s Super Bowl spot Backstory traces a potted history of the look through a series of musicians, characters and cultural moments, without ever showing anything above the waist.
Created by TBWA Chiat Day and shot by Kim Gehrig through Somesuch, the neatly structured montage reminds viewers how defining the rear view of a pair of jeans can be, while quietly reinforcing the brand’s long-standing, era-shaping legacy.
