Though some UK viewers may be misled by lyrics that appear to suggest that all we need to sort the world's ills is a good pair of Marigold rubber gloves, a wider audience will appreciate the song's message that through despair, hope can flower.
Directed by Quentin Deronzier through La Pac, with lush cinematography from Paul Ozgur, this visually stunning promo for M.I.A.'s track Marigold depicts the various types of turmoil the globe finds itself in today.
"We're gonna need a miracle," M.I.A sings over a powerful montage of environmental disturbances and bombs raining down on a war-ravaged planet. But maybe millions of orange flowers settling upon the chaos will suffice?
