Michel & Nico join Kode for commercial representation

Kode announce that award-winning directing duo Michel & Nico have joined its roster for commercial representation.
Originally from the south of France, Michel & Nico’s journey into filmmaking began where their lives did, in sport. With a camera in hand and a network built on rugby pitches, they developed an instinct for capturing moments as they happen: raw, physical and honest.
From elite athletes to real people and communities, their films often blur the line between the two. A child practising alone until dark, an underdog chasing something bigger, a moment of vulnerability that reveals what’s truly at stake, these are the stories Michel & Nico are instinctively drawn to. Their work consistently centres on people, capturing genuine emotion with clarity and care.
Over the past decade, they have built a body of work recognised across the industry, earning accolades including a Young Directors Award Gold, Kinsale Gold, British Arrows and AICP honours, as well as 1.4 Awards recognition. Their independent short film, created with their own children, received Oscar-qualifying awards.
Michel & Nico commented: "Easy move for us, saying yes to the team at Kode. Honestly? They just feel like us. And when you're dealing with people who share the same energy, it's so much easier to see a future together. For us it's always been about feeling… About vision yes too, but mostly about reaching a point in your career where you look at someone and go: these are the people we want to work/drink with, Simple as that”
Jack Goodwin adds: “Michel & Nico are filmmakers I’ve admired for a long time. There’s a real honesty to their work that’s hard to fake which comes from who they are as people as much as how they shoot. Being brothers, there’s an instinct and trust between them that you can feel in everything they make. They care deeply about the stories they tell and the people in them, and that’s something we value hugely at Kode.”
