Created in collaboration with Thingy & Thingy, this wonderfully absurd campaign, titled Tiramisu, for overnight breakfast brand Oat Cult, transports us to 16th-century Italy for a grizzly tale of devotion and sacrifice.
Playfully directed by Mike Upson through MindsEye, the opening black-and-white sequence opens with a young boy discovering an ominous hole in the ground, which has just consumed his pet dog. As he leans in, the mysterious orifice farts a faceful of delicious tiramisu oats at him with a comedic squelch.
Before long, the entire village is sacrificing humans to appease the mysterious hole, in exchange for eruptions of its deliciously gloopy excretions. What begins as a gruesome tale of devotion quickly descends into an increasingly bizarre celebration of oats.
