What’s the most creative advertising idea you’ve seen recently?

Timothée Chalamet’s press tour for A Complete Unknown has been so fun. He seems like he’s having a blast and you really do love to see that!

What website(s) do you use most regularly?

I like to browse Pitchfork for new music. I have an embarrassingly large pile of untouched New Yorkers at my house, but mostly read it online.

What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought?

I haven’t bought a new piece of tech in a long time, truthfully. I think the last thing I bought was a new phone.

What product could you not live without?

My vacuum. What can I say? I love to vacuum.

What’s the best film you’ve seen over the last year?

Anora and Sing Sing were both really special.

What film do you think everyone should have seen?

Death Becomes Her. It’s hilarious, timeless and who doesn’t want to see Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn blow each other to smithereens for an eternity?

What’s your preferred social media platform?

Preferred might be a bit of a stretch, but Instagram is the only social media platform that I am active on.

What’s your favourite TV show?

A recent show I binged and loved is Industry. It’s so naughty and fun, and feels so far from the world of post production.

What’s your favourite podcast?

Don’t be mad, but I have a few that deserve mentions! For a twice-weekly update on tech, business and the general state of the world that isn’t too depressing, I really love Pivot. The hosts, Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway, are so smart and funny and have great chemistry and rapport.

For a narrative story, the best podcast I’ve heard in a while is Ghost Story from Wondery. For an industry-related podcast, I love Cutting Class, hosted by John McSwain. He’s a fellow editor and has had a great array of guests.

What have you been most inspired by recently?

The resilience of people in the LGBTQIA+ community, especially those in the trans community.

If you could only listen to one music artist from now on, who would it be?

I don’t know if this is the only artist I would ever listen to, but I have been on a huge Adrienne Lenker and Big Thief kick lately.

If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?

The urgency of it all. I wish we had more time to connect, flesh out ideas, collaborate and explore.

Who or what has most influenced your career?

I’ve had the opportunity to work with many incredible and talented people over the years. I started my career at Lost Planet and got to see how Hank Corwin works, which was an incredible opportunity. I then continued my career at Modern Post, assisting and being mentored by Will Town, which has been incredible in so many ways.

Will has always been so encouraging and supportive. He is the type of mentor who wants everyone to succeed. He’s always eager to watch rough cuts together, talk problems through and give feedback. I feel so grateful to be on a team that is so collaborative and committed to everyone’s success at every level.

What scares you the most?

Just one thing?

What makes you happiest?

In and out of work, connection makes me happy. I love being in a room with clients, sharing and workshopping ideas. Being together in a room is so productive and collaborative. It feels great to be able to figure out the puzzle of a spot together in real time. It’s so important to me that everyone’s ideas are heard and attempted and that every job really feels like a team effort.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people wouldn’t know.

I can shuck a dozen oysters pretty fast and very well.
