US-based production company Serial Pictures has entered into a into a partnership with UK and Sweden-based production company Business Club to represent directors for commercials, branded entertainment, and music videos in the United States: Business Club @ Serial Pictures.

The alliance kicks off with filmmakers Tom Emmerson, Nina Holmgren, Jim Hosking, and Gustav Sundström as they expand their representation into the US market under Business Club @ Serial Pictures. Together in the US, the two companies will double down on what they do best: bold, visually inventive storytelling that breaks the mold and gives unconventional creative voices the platform they deserve.

"Business Club brings a sharp European eye for storytellers who blend wit, humanity, and style, perfectly complementing the bold cinematic director-driven vision that defines us,” says Serial Pictures Founder and Executive Producer Violaine Etienne. “We are excited for this partnership as we keep our roster distinct and fiercely curated.”

“Myself and Sara first began working together in 2012, establishing a close working relationship and this felt like the natural next step,” says Business Club Managing Director Tom Berendsen. “Our roster perfectly compliments Serial's without conflicting with their roster and enables us both to reach new creative opportunities. We’re very excited to see where this takes us.”

Previously announced director Emmerson brings his kinetic visual style and instinct for world-building to his filmmaking and photography for brands including New Balance, Hermes, House of Errors, and a connective campaign for DEPOP, coproduced by Serial Pictures and Business Club. He is currently nominated for Best New Director at the AICP Awards and most recently won Director to Watch at the AdAge Creativity Awards.

Sundström, a co-founder of Business Club, is known for surreal comedic work and distinct physical comedic voice, where performance is naturalistic, logic is slightly bent, and humour emerges from emotional truth rather than punchline construction.

Danish director Holmgren sparks with a sense of fearlessness; her experience as documentary filmmaker combined with her knowledge of fine art essentially making her the Renaissance in human form.

And filmmaker Hosking rounds out the partnership’s lineup with his unmistakable offbeat sensibility and subversive comedic voice. Hosking’s first project for Business Club @ Serial Pictures, a Super Bowl campaign for Skittles starring Elijah Wood,, including a life gametime spot, was lauded by critics for its subversive take on celeb endorsements and has already picked up two Clio Awards.
