In this beautifully shot short film, created by &Rosas for Spanish multinational telecommunications company Telefónica, CANADA director Nicolás Méndez captures the importance of human connection, from the micro to the macro.
Opening with microscopic footage of a single neuron, the film splices together short scenes portraying the different ways people rely on each other, from intimate moments of physical touch to entire communities coming together.
As the visual metaphor of a neuron reaching to connect with others is repeated throughout the film, Mendez shows on how this dynamic is reflected in society: the more connected people are, the further they can go together.
Miguel Angel Duo, Executive Creative Director, added "in times of machine learning, big data and AI, it seemed beautiful to us to use something as tiny as a neuron to talk about the gigantic power of human imagination".
