In this bold animated film, BigTime Creative Shop, The Youth, Brazilian directors YUCA and their creative studio COLOSSAL take us on a dynamic and immersive journey through boxing magazine The Ring’s 104-year legacy.
Titled The Legacy Continues, the film opens with a walk through a meticulously crafted museum, where like-for-like artefacts tell a century-long story of boxing history.
The quiet, torch-lit tour evolves into a frenetic sequence of vividly rendered scenes realised through ten era-appropriate animation styles, including charcoal sketching, Claymation, hand-drawn 2D animation, high-end 3D and mixed-media collage.
The film portrays some of the most influential fighters ever to step into the ring, including Sugar Ray Robinson, Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao and more, and is even narrated by the voice of American ring announcer, Michael Buffer.
