Tim Fox joins Final Frontier
Fox began in design, studying art direction before moving into animation and film, a path that naturally led him to directing music promos, commercials, and content for the music industry.
Final Frontier welcomes Tim Fox to its global roster of directors and creators.
Fox brings together creative authorship and technical versatility in a way few directors can. Fluent across 2D, 3D, live-action, and hybrid techniques, he approaches every project with a storyteller’s mindset and a designer’s precision. Whether developing original concepts or collaborating within established brands, his work is defined by strong narrative thinking, visual clarity, and adaptable craft. Influences from animation, music, and 90s pop culture add attitude and edge, but always in service of fresh, contemporary ideas.
Alongside his authorial projects, Fox brings deep commercial experience and versatility. During his time working with The Mill, he built a reputation as a highly adaptable director, comfortable moving between live-action, 2D animation, 3D, and hybrid techniques. He is equally at home directing large-scale productions or collaborating with smaller teams, often stepping into visual styles that are not strictly his own while maintaining a high level of craft and clarity.
His client list reflects that range, spanning global brands such as Coca-Cola, Mercedes, HBO, and Universal Music, as well as smaller startups and more experimental projects. From concept and storyboards through illustration and editing, Fox has worn many hats throughout his career, approaching each project, whether technically complex or deeply personal, with the same focus on craft and storytelling.
His career began in design, studying art direction before moving into animation and film, a path that naturally led him to directing music promos, commercials, and content for the music industry. Music has remained a constant thread in his work. Over the years, Fox has directed music videos and music-driven projects for artists including Katy Perry, Marvin Gaye, and Kid Cudi, experiences that continue to shape his sense of rhythm, tone, and emotional pacing.
“Tim has a very rare balance between a strong authorial voice and real commercial versatility,” said Gus Karam, Co-Founder and CSO of Final Frontier. “He understands culture and storytelling deeply, but he’s also collaborative, flexible, and precise. That combination is exactly what we look for in the creators we build long-term relationships with.”
“I couldn't be more happier and excited to be joining the ranks of the almighty Final Frontier. I've been a fanboy since they started with Le Cube. It became immediately apparent after talking with Gus and the team that they shared the same passion and drive that I have for animation, we share the same goals and are more determined than ever to make amazing things happen. It feels amazing to be part of a team where I instantly feel at home."
At Final Frontier, Fox will focus on developing original projects in the while also collaborating on commercial and entertainment work that demands narrative intelligence, stylistic range, and ambition. This signing reinforces Final Frontier’s commitment to representing directors with clear creative voices, cultural depth, and the ability to move fluidly between personal expression and high-level commercial work.
