Toyota puts real adventure seekers at centre of latest campaign
Agency Saatchi & Saatchi launches the five-spot campaign takes viewers into some of the most extreme environments imaginable, from colossal waves and ferocious rapids to blizzards, cliffs and muddy trails.
What if the best way to sell a truck isn’t to show actors pretending to be adventurous, but to put real adventure seekers behind the wheel?
That’s the thinking behind Toyota’s latest installment of its “Outlast. Outlive.” platform. Rather than relying on traditional automotive casting, Toyota built the campaign around people who genuinely live for the outdoors, including gravel cyclists, kayakers and rock climbers with years of experience in their respective pursuits.
Directed by The Roos Brothers, the five-spot campaign takes viewers into some of the most extreme environments imaginable, from colossal waves and ferocious rapids to blizzards, cliffs and muddy trails. Across the work, adventure isn’t something the protagonists simply survive; it’s something they actively seek out.
The campaign includes two linear TV spots: Never Stop is now live and Your World will go live on September 16, alongside three non-linear films: Catch Me If You Can, No Holding Back and Over The Edge. The campaign will run across NFL Sunday Night Football, digital video and streaming, audio on iHeart and Pandora, digital display, and social platforms including Meta, TikTok and Reddit through December 27.
