Created by Havas and directed by Gabriel Nóbrega through LOBO, this touching animated film from fabric stain-removal brand Vanish explores the lasting, unseen impact that bullying can have on children.
Using the physical stains on his clothes as a metaphor for the emotional damage that bullying causes, the film tells the story of a young boy whose loneliness and insecurities grow while he suffers in silence. When his mother notices stains on his uniform, these marks become the starting point for a revealing conversation. As words find space to make themselves heard, the stains begin to fade.
Nóbrega, partner and director at LOBO, added: "Animation has a playful aspect that allows complex topics to be presented in a light manner. It was the perfect technique to tell this story, which deals with a relevant and serious theme but needed to be conveyed in a subtle way".
