Any filmmaker who grew up watching action cinema secretly has a desire to make a kung fu flick of their own, and with their latest film for On, SMUGGLER directing trio Pantera are living out that fantasy.
Starring Zendaya as a tracksuit-clad takedown merchant, Your New Favorite Action Movie is a whistlestop race through fight scenes and parkour that bring to mind the environment-employing antics of Jackie Chan.
Filled with classic martial arts staples like whip pans, strong zooms and a glorious Texas switch, the film is as much a showcase for Hélène Tran's choreography and its star's surprisingly adept moves as it is for natty sportswear.
