IKEA UEA launches its 2019 catalogue with a spot created by Ogilvy Dubai and directed by Santiago Zannou, that tells the story of a dehumanised worker not quite feeling himself until he gets home.
Slicky produced by Big Kahuna Films, the spot follows your average android-eyed office zombie of the future going home from work. Once through his front door he starts to loosen up – allowing himself a quick fondle of his oh-so-soft IKEA soft furnishings – and by the time his perfect wife and kids join him on the fluffy cushions he's back to his old self, thus revealing the transformative power of an individual’s home.
