When showcasing new tech, most brands opt to present a utopian vision of a life made easy, but in its Super Bowl spot featuring Chris Hemsworth, Amazon is not only subverting the utopia, but also cutting short the life...
Playing out like a gadget-fuelled horror movie (think M3gan without the dancing), Alexaaaa+ presents scenarios where Hemsworth, starring alongside real-life actor wife Elsa Pataky, is put in perilous positions by their new AI pal.
Directed by Hungry Man's Wayne McClammy, who manages to give the film an aesthetic between comedic and creepy, this entertaining spot does little to help the growing sense of Skynet, but sure does make it look handy.
