This charmingly weird spot for Fleurop taps into the universal truth that many men are completely inept when it comes to saying sorry.
Directed by Lisa Mausbach, SOUP Film’s new signing, and beautifully shot on 35mm film by DP Tim Bieker, it has a tactile cinematic quality that reinforces its playful, slightly off-kilter world.
It’s a curious world in which – aside from the sheep bothering – a man hires a Gregorian choir to confess his folly, puts himself through an agonising ‘sorry’ dance for his lady love’s parents and performs penitential rituals in a rainy forest before realising that a the usual bunch of florals will yield the desired forgiveness.
