GREATERGOOD signs director Zia Mandviwalla

Los Angeles-based production company GREATERGOOD has signed globally awarded director Zia Mandviwalla for commercial representation in the US, working alongside her current representation at Finch in Australia and New Zealand.
Mandviwalla and GREATERGOOD founder and executive producer Pedro Aragão de Oliveira previously collaborated during his time as a partner at his former company, making this a natural continuation of an established creative relationship.
Known for her finely crafted, human-centered storytelling, Mandviwalla’s work moves fluidly between documentary and narrative, with a distinctive focus on emotional truth and nuanced performance. Her ability to capture intimate, authentic moments has defined her work across both long-form and commercial projects.
Mandviwalla has directed episodes of Netflix’s Emmy-nominated series Chef’s Table and Home Game, with her Asma Khan episode earning a James Beard Award nomination. Her short film Night Shift premiered at the Festival de Cannes, with its US premiere at Sundance and subsequent screening at the New York Film Festival, before going on to win multiple international awards.
Born in India, raised in Dubai, and now based in Auckland, she brings a global perspective to her work, directing campaigns across Asia, Australasia, and the US. Her commercial portfolio includes work for brands such as Woolworths, Kiwibank, Spark, and Pinnacle, blending cinematic craft with a grounded, human approach.
Oliveira says: “Zia has a rare ability to find truth in the smallest moments and elevate them into something deeply cinematic. Having worked together before, I’ve seen firsthand the care and precision she brings to everything she does. We’re excited to build with her and introduce her voice more broadly in the US market.”
Mandviwalla adds: “I’ve always been drawn to stories that connect across cultures through shared human experience. Reconnecting with Pedro and building this next chapter with GREATERGOOD feels like a natural step, and I’m looking forward to what we can create together.”
