Kode signs acclaimed filmmaker and director David Terry Fine for commercial representation, marking the studio’s continued intention to make premium, documentary-driven storytelling across branded and longform formats.

Fine’s relationship with Kode began through a global adidas series produced with The Midnight Club, where his ability to blend documentary authenticity with elevated craft established a strong creative alignment with Kode. The work went on to become some of the brand’s most-watched content on its YouTube channel, demonstrating the power of longform, story-led branded filmmaking. His signing reflects Kode’s ongoing commitment to partnering with brands to create ambitious, longer-form narratives designed for both digital platforms and streaming audiences.

Fine is a non-fiction filmmaker with a growing slate of high-profile feature and series work. With work seen on Netflix, ESPN, Nowness and National Geographic, he has established himself as a director adept at navigating complex, character-led narratives with cinematic precision to global audiences.

Recent longform credits include Operation Flagrant Foul for Netflix’s UNTOLD series, examining the NBA betting scandal involving referee Tim Donaghy, and Dirty Pop, a three-part Netflix series exploring the rise and fall of Lou Pearlman, the controversial impresario behind The Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC.

Alongside his longform work, Fine has brought his documentary sensibilities to collaborations with leading global brands including Google, MoMA, Oakley and adidas. He continues to build momentum in the feature documentary space, with a new Netflix project currently in production and another feature heading to market.

“Working with Kode on the adidas campaign last year was such a lovely, supportive and creatively fulfilling experience,” said Fine. “I’m truly grateful to be joining a company that values collaboration so deeply, and I’m genuinely excited for what’s to come.”

Jack Goodwin EP and Founder at Kode comments “David has the ability to find and shape powerful stories both cinematic and deeply human, while bringing clients along in a way that feels collaborative and energising. On top of that, he’s a very down-to-earth, decent human being, which is something we care deeply about at Kode. He feels like a natural fit for us.”
