Created by Publicis Canada in partnership with the multi award-winning conservation photojournalist Patricia Homonylo, the print and video campaign displays how valuable silence is while shooting in the wild.
Directed by Reid and Cameron Marshall, through The Pub, the elegant monochrome hero film follows Homonylo as she quietly immerses herself in a snowy Canadian wilderness, to capture such cute critters as a red fox, a lynx, a wise owl and an uncharacteristically attractive crow.
The film reflects her practice that emphasises presence over proximity. “It hasn’t been about getting close enough. It’s about being quiet enough,” she explains. “If I’m silent, if I’m still, animals will come closer.”
