Concepted and produced by McCann Manchester and directed by Greg Bray, this playful film for Kayak captures the thrill that comes when holidays start to feel real. The pre-vacation scenarios that appear were all crafted without AI.
Dan Noller, ECD at McCANN Manchester, explained, “The world doesn’t need another travel ad stitched together from generic holiday shots. We were much more interested in the moment before you book. Our chatty spokesbutton and a shape-shifting room gave us a simple visual device to bring to life that feeling of discovering what’s possible in a way that’s playful, distinctive and unmistakably Kayak.”
The director added: “In the beginning of the production process, we decided to shoot this for real. We briefly considered the use of AI, but decided for a more traditional approach. We wanted to focus on crafting great worlds, and performance, and for me that meant finding ways to make this the good old way.”
