powered byThe celebrated Australian writer/director Lucy Knox (Hot Mother, An Act of Love, Opal Fever) brings her keen eye for intimate, humorous tales of human folly to this droll campaign for Hector’s Deli that suggests everything is Better In Real Life.
Produced by Scoundrel, the film takes aim at one of the more familiar habits of modern life: experiencing everything through a phone screen, and charts the meeting between a young woman and a wholly underwhelming fellow whose dating app picture bears little resemblance to reality.
The contrary fellow’s own mendacity doesn’t however stand in the way of him whining over the slightly different "layering" of his gorgeous looking pastrami sandwich, accusing the picture of said meal as false advertising.
