What’s the most creative advertising idea you’ve seen recently?

Adidas Superstar, directed by Thibaut Grevet. It’s a fun concept combined with the classic Pulp Fiction-esque delivery, wrapped up in cool direction and cinematography.

What website(s) do you use most regularly?

The Arte site is an interesting balance of documentaries, films, series, music and magazine. And it helps me to keep up French after graduating with a language degree many moons ago.

What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought?

A massage gun. Changed my life!

What product could you not live without?

AirPods. Not only do they preserve sanity while commuting, but they also provide a soundtrack to life.

What’s the best film you’ve seen over the last year?

One Battle After Another. It is a three-hour whirlwind of different genres; satire, humour, political commentary. It's also a touching relationship between dad and daughter with a top-tier cast, most notedly an unreal debut by Chase Infinity.

What film do you think everyone should have seen?

Mo' Better Blues. An underrated film by Spike Lee set around the jazz scene. It has amazing cinematography, score and cast.

What’s your preferred social media platform?

If I have to choose one, then WhatsApp  -when its used considerately - has made communication so much easier.

What’s your favourite TV show?

The Sopranos. I got into it really late in the day, during Covid. It more than deserves all the hype.

What’s your favourite podcast?

Steven Bartlett's Diary of a CEO. I find the wide span of guests he interviews interesting.

What have you been most inspired by recently?

My grandma. She is 93, deeply intelligent, very witty and wise and lives on her own perfectly self-sufficiently in Mauritius. I just love her.

If you could only listen to one music artist from now on, who would it be?

Marvin Gaye's What’s Going On? is told from the point of view of a Vietnam veteran who has returned home to observe a country full of hatred, misery and injustice. Apart from being composed beautifully the message still rings true today.

If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?

Consistent inclusivity behind and in front of the lens.

Who or what has most influenced your career?

The Directors Label DVDs, and MTV, which made me fall in love with the way visuals enhance the sensory impact of music.

What scares you the most?

The current turbulence in global politics. I still have hope for future generations.

What makes you happiest?

Sunsets in Mauritius.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people wouldn’t know.

I support Crystal Palace.
