Pomelo’s festive new perspective

International money transfer platform Pomelo inspires us to shift our outlook on tricky situations with this heartwarming holiday film created by BBDO Guerrero.

The campaign tells the story of Jacob, a young boy in the Philippines being raised by his grumpy grandmother, Lola, while his mother works in the United States. 

He begs his mum to transfer him some money so he can purchase what we assume are headphones, to block out his Grandma's incessant moaning. In an unexpected twist, he gifts her a hearing aid for Christmas, and their relationship transforms.
