A collaboration between independent agencies Monster Sauce and Worth Your While, with stunning VFX from Smoke & Mirrors Bangkok, this powerful short film for Save Wild Tigers highlights the plight of these much-loved big cats.
The world’s tiger population has seen a shocking 97 per cent decline – in 1900 there were 100,000 tigers in the wild, today, there are fewer than 5,000 remaining. This is partly due to a 96 per cent reduction in their habitat, but they are also threatened by illegal poaching for their skins, bones and various body parts – including as Winstone’s emasculated feline reveals “my old chap”.
As the actor comments: "The decline of wild tigers is a sad reflection of what is going on in our world today. We are supposed to be the intellectual beasts of this planet, yet we often prove to be the most barbaric species of all".
Simon Clinton, Founder of Save Wild Tigers says: “This has been an amazing creative collaboration, involving numerous talented individuals and agencies across multiple countries, with over 12 months in the making. The passion and creativity shown by everyone has been truly outstanding”.
