Marking yesterday’s World Mental Health Day, the amusing ad small talk promotes the online community platform Frazzled, which was developed following the success of Ruby Wax’s bestselling book on mindfulness.
Produced and directed by Ruby Wax’s husband and Ed Bye, and created by London agency Revolt, the film shows two work colleagues exchanging vacuous bants around the water cooler while concealing the angst they are really experiencing.
Speaking in generic subtextual dialogue – “Disinterested question about work?” and “Fake laugh!” – it ends with Wax whizzing into the scene recommending that the niceties are cut in favour of the open emotional conversations offered in the group sessions on Frazzled.
