The characters Tim Robinson plays tend to lean on the petty, petulant and (thankfully) ineffectual, and the belagued despot in this Super Bowl spot for Rippling is no exception.

Set to a bombastic score, Don't Let Bad Software Ruin Your Plans sees Robinson's plans to ruin a city that's been "nothing but nasty' to him fall-short when he finds out that his kaiju of choice - Baby Breck - hasn't been properly onboarded.

Utilising the actor's unique skill of constrained rage, this chuckesome film from agency Tombras and BLINKINK's Zach Tavel feels like a joyfully nutty sketch.

“Tim’s been one of my all-time favourites since I was a university student," explains Tavel, "so pointing cameras at him was a true thrill for me. Tim played the role more introspectively, so we went big to juxtapose that. We built a self-serious look and feel, winking at 80s/90s action thrillers, in our cinematography, music, and set design in order to heighten the absurdity of the very specific scenario at hand, as well as to meet the occasion for Tim’s character (and the Big Game). Working with Tombras and Rippling, two groups I have longstanding relationships with, was a true joy, and this whole thing is a testament to great collaboration and partnership."
