Furlined announce the homecoming of writer-director Zak Razvi to its roster of filmmakers. The reunion comes at an exciting time for both director and company. He returns with a body of work that has captured hearts and minds on both sides of the Atlantic.

Razvi is a master of short-form storytelling. Living in the space between narrative and documentary, his films reveal beauty in ordinary people and everyday moments with empathy, warmth, and levity.

Razvi began his career as an intern in the production department at BBH London, working his way up to TV Producer. He then joined Pulse Films as Executive Producer, heading up the music video department, before making the move into directing. His debut film, Jordanne, received international festival recognition and launched an award-winning career, earning him shots’ New Director of the Year, Gold for Best New Talent at the Creative Circle Awards, and recognition from BAFTA and Vimeo Staff Picks.

Over the past two years, Razvi has directed three campaigns for Cadbury. Made to Share, the first, won Gold at the 2026 British Arrows. Win for Your Squad, the latest installment, features footballers Virgil van Dijk, Declan Rice, and Lauren James as themselves, or rather, as the people they are when no one is watching. The third campaign, The Giveaway Give Away, was released Monday.

Recent work includes Joy that Spreads, for Dairygold, which weaves through the daily lives of Irish households, a new baby, a movie night, a farmer at dawn, each moment bound by toast. Nobody Asks, made for the Alzheimer's Society, lets the viewer inside the daily life of a couple without naming the condition. The film was honoured at the Casting Directors' Guild Awards.

Razvi's work has been recognised by the Young Director Award, British Arrows, Kinsale Sharks, and Vimeo Staff Picks, and screened at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Sheffield Doc Fest, and the Dublin International Film Festival, amongst others.

“Every person at Furlined truly cares about the work in a considered and beautiful way,” says Razvi. “Di, production, and sales they all deeply care about turning the script into the best film possible. I feel very grateful to be surrounded by such incredibly inspiring partners.”

Diane McArter, President and Founder of Furlined, says, "Zak has a rare gift, the ability to draw from actors a quality of presence that feels entirely unconstructed… and totally real.” Razvi is currently finishing My Boy, a short film he wrote and directed about an ex-offender attempting to reconcile with his family after many years apart.

Razvi is represented by Furlined in the US, Kode Media in the UK, and by Strange or Startling Films in Ireland.
